top tray is filled with 42 blocks of fine watercolor of various
wold famous paint makers from 1850's to mid 1900's,

- Some
are nearly whole while most are partial..

- in
the compartment below there are 8 vials of various dry pigments
- A
small fine water glass
- A
very early Rowney tube of watercolor paint
- Two
porcelain pans - one containing some paint

- This
fine watercolor box also includes:

- The Brass
Key that works the lock but may stick.

- The original
wooden pin that holds the bottom drawer closed.

- There are
two heavily used brushes probably newer than the box

- The bottom
drawer opens to reveal the brushes and was the place to store
paper.

- The whole
outer box is made of fine solid Mahogany- the inside is fitted
with boxwood.

- It measures
9 inches wide x 6 5/8 Deep x 2 1/2 inches high.

- This box
has patina from use, some scratches, nicks
-
- The protective
ebony banding on the top edge of the box is all there but has
some cracks.

- Some paint
blocks are nearly whole, a few partial blocks etc. they show
patina of age, cracks and there

- There are
paint stains here and there. All serve to give it authentic patina
for a majestic box lovingly used by the artist.
